RIP Purple Squeaky Ball

So it finally happened. Clover's very favorite, special purple ball lost it's squeaker... We have many many toys for the dogs. And none of them belong to one dog or the other. Axle and Clover are surprisingly good at sharing their toys. But the purple ball has always been special to Clover. Given the choice of every single toy in the toy box, she will always go for the purple ball first. And I'm really surprised it lasted the almost full year that it did.

We don't buy the dogs a lot of toys with squeakers in them because they go out so easily. And normally squeaker toys just don't last that long in general. So we were stoked when we found a Kong Ball with a squeaker in it. Clover loves squeaky toys, and she loves this ball.
I so wish she had been facing the other way in this picture. I can only imagine the excited look on her face.

We will still keep the purple ball for Clover. Its not destroyed, just punctured from being chewed on. Clover keeps trying to get it to squeak again. Shes been nosing it, and pushing it around with her paw as if she's saying "Wake up! Lets Play!" She has over a dozen other toys to choose from, but it makes me sad that her favorite one is now broken. Next time we go to PetSmart we will have to pick up another one for her.
 Clover, is that a UFO?!

Thankful Thursday

After a very crazy week that included 2 allergic reactions, 2 trips to Urgent Care, and 1 trip to the ER, I am thankful that I have these two as my cuddle buddies. They always make me feel better.

What are you thankful for today?

Dog Park Adventure: All Kinds of Crazy

Well Mother Nature decided to pull a fast one on us with anther cold and windy day. Its was absolutely frigid this afternoon. But Axle and Clover were all kinds of crazy this morning, that there was no way they were going to settle down if we didn't get just a little park time. So despite they chilly forecast we headed out to our beloved dog park for a few hours.
We met a dog that could pass for Clover's twin at the park today! She was so sweet!
We also met little Bane. This little guy was too cute, just look at his fluffy ears!
Axle likes mooching up to anyone wiling to give him attention. My dog is such a ham...
There was a long line at the water fountain today.
Some doggies just aren't to sure about the camera.
Skyla is a dog park princess!
 Tag! You're it!

How could anyone not just melt over this beautiful face!!!

What a beautiful Greater Swiss Mountain Dog!
I just love how much fun they all have at the park. We are so lucky to have such a great facility so close by.
 Nala has the sweetest smile!
 Strike a pose!
This dog has such a beautiful coat!
This cute dog reminds me of this cute dog.
Sometimes I just catch the tail end of all the action.

Don't be fooled by the beautiful sunshine. It was freezing today!!
 Snack time!

These guys are ready for a picnic!
I just can't get over how shiny this dog is!
I think this little guy found the biggest stick in the whole park.

I can't tell if this is the best or worst tasting thing he's ever eaten...
Regardless of the cold temperature we still had a great day at the park. I'm hoping this weekend will bring some warmer weather. We can only hope! How has everyone been? Do you ever take any dog park pictures? We we love to see them, share a link with us in the comments below! And don't forget, if you see your dog leave us a note so we can put their name with their picture!

Dog Park Adventure: Dog Day Afternoon

We finally had a beautiful spring day on Saturday! So of course we loaded up the car and headed to the dog park for the afternoon. I love taking Axle and Clover to the park, but its even better when the weather is nice. We usually stay longer when its warmer, and today was no exception. We are at the park for almost four hours today. it was quite the afternoon.
Simba has nothing on this Corgi.

Its always a little embarrassing when you show up at the dog park and someone is wearing the same outfit as you.
We met a very handsome German Shepard today.

 What a smile!

There is nothing better than a good game of fetch on a such a lovely day!

The dog park makes for thirsty work.
Have I ever mentioned that Clover has an ear sniffing obsession?

I'm not really sure what's up with Clover's face here...
I think I'm seeing double. Ghost (right) may have found his long lost twin.
The Corgi trio showed up today!
Clover took a break to snack on some mulch...

Avery the Vizsla scouts out his surroundings.
Harley the Tri Colored Pit Bull makes a fluffy new friend.
 A Bulldog at sunset.
Clover compares notes with her new Husky friend.
 Watching for squirrels.
This adorable Bulldog put her ball down just long enough to get a mouth full over water.

Axle likes to pretend he is king of the dog park.
We also met up with our good buddy T! We always lover running into him at the dog park!

It was a beautiful day, and I hope that we are finally out of winter. I am so ready for some warmer weather. Since the time change is this weekend we will soon be able to reinstate our late afternoon Wednesday trips to the smaller dog park that is closer to the house. But we will still be at the big park every weekend.

After almost four hours at the park, both Axle and Clover were completely wiped out. They both crashed out in the car almost as soon as we left the park. We always know it was a good day at the park when both the dogs fall asleep before we make it home.

What have all of you been up to? Do you have any big plans now that the weather is warming up? And remember, if you see your dog please leave us a note in the comments below so we can put their name with their picture!
