Dog Park Adventure: Another Rainy Day

Happy Wednesday dear readers! Yesterday was my last day off work for winter break, so the dogs and I loaded up the car and headed to the dog park! It was another rainy day here. But Tennessee winters are usually like that. We rarely get any snow, but we do get a ton of rain in the winter time. Once again, the park was pretty empty. In the spring, summer and fall months there are usually between 30-40 dogs at the park, but few people want to brave the rain and muck this time of year. Thankfully we did have some friends to play with today!!

Buffy the Chocolate Lab checking out the mud!

What's this?!? Clover isn't to sure about the wheelbarrow.

I always seem to get a few pictures of Axle's 'cheesecake face'.
Pippa the Golden Doodle loves to play fetch with her Chuck it!

 We dig the dog park!
Axle and Clover admiring this little guy's handy (or paw) work.
 Axle and Brooklyn
Clover was pouting because she couldn't get to the squirrels on the other side of the fence.
Clover and Brooklyn playing hide and seek!

Clover always seems to think that she needs to be the muddiest dog at the park.
Rosie the Min-Pin mix gives us a bow while she waits to play her favorite game, fetch!

Rosie can fetch any stick, even one twice her size!

Captain the Shar Pei/Boxer mix stopped by to play!

Axle and Captain watching for squirrels.
Zeffer showed up just as the sun was going down.

It was getting to dark to play, so we decided to call it a day. The sun starts to go down around 4:30 during the winter. As much as I like the winter months, I'll be happy when the sun starts to stay out a little longer in the spring. I hope that everyone had a great New Years! Did you do anything fun over the weekend? How do you excessive your dogs in the winter months? See your dog? Let us know in the comments below, we love making new friends!!
