Recommended Reading: Do Dogs Laugh? by Jake Page

This book was a Christmas gift from my brother that I just finished reading. Its a lot more science and biology based than anything else. But I really enjoyed the autor's witty retorts and side notes. This book's main focus is to describe the origins of the domesticated dog, how it came to be what it is today, and why. The author will occasionally bring in his own experiences with his own dogs. Explaining the different personality traits of his pack of 6 and how they are represented throughout the rest of dogdom.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn more about where dogs came from, and why they are the way that they are. Its a pretty quick read, only a little over 200 pages. And the chapter heads are adorned with the author's wife's photography of their own dogs. A really informative book that will help you understand your dogs behavior better, and maybe look at them a little differently.
